It’s January 6th.
Have the “rah rah” Tony Robins-esq Facebook posts that if you just “believe in yourself” or “wish on the Universe” your dreams will come true?
I call Bullshit.
That’s right, bullshit. I’m not going to tell you that my 2013 was epic in terms of profit. It wasn’t. It was less than it was in 2012. It happens. It’s business.
There are ups and downs. That’s reality.
But what isn’t reality is believing that some nice saying or a touchy-feely comment is going to put food on your table, pay your mortgage or keep the lights on in your house. That comes from hard work.
What about the “Don’t work hard, work smart” mantra all the gurus shout?
Yeah, that’s bullshit too. Nothing equals good old fashioned roll up your sleeves hard work. There is no easy button, there are no tricks, and there is no system. Anyone who says differently has a course to sell you, which won’t solve your revenue problem, but it will solve theirs.
Do you get it now?
The reason you have followed me is I tell it like it is. Check back here every week and I’ll be posting how to really be successful online, as well as in your personal life – they go hand-in-hand.
Stay tuned…

You write, “Yeah, that’s bullshit too. Nothing equals good old fashioned roll up your sleeves hard work. There is no easy button, there are no tricks, and there is no system. Anyone who says differently has a course to sell you, which won’t solve your revenue problem, but it will solve theirs.”
It’s mid 2014, and this still made me chuckle in recognition of how true it is!
I’m new to your site but loving your articles and your approach…thanks!
