Has Google Panda kicked your ass?
There is a great line in the movie “The Adjustment Bureau” where Matt Damon’s character, a politician, is giving a speech …
“We had a rule in my neighborhood. When you got into a fight, it wasn’t whether or not you got knocked down. It is what you do when you get back up.”
Can you get back up from the beat down? Yes you can, as we did it.
Check out this screen shot from Google Analytics. It is real. The site sampled is an affiliate site and is a PageRank 7 site. It’s very authoritative in the market and was generating solid traffic and fantastic conversions. Then Panda came along and you can see the huge drop-off and even a period where the traffic literally “flat-lined”.
It sucked.
Notice in the screen shot though that the traffic not only came back, it came back stronger than ever. What did we do? Well, we did what we always do. We ran tests!
Of the 800+ domains we manage, about 40 got hit hard with Panda. In the test we did, we grouped them and tested some same methods and some different to see the reaction.
The results were varied but every single site that came back from Panda had one common theme…and this was the only consistent factor amongst our testing group.
A listing in the [popunder id=”2″ rel=”nofollow” href=”http://blog.seorevolution.com/?botw=1″]Best of the Web Directory[/popunder].
If you have been following me for any length of time, you know that for the last decade I have been saying that this is THE directory to be listed in to get your site the biggest push. Yes, it’s even better than the Yahoo! directory.
Right now is a great time to get listed in BOTW because it’s their 18th birthday and they are offering a 50% off coupon. So instead of paying $300 for a lifetime listing, it’s just $150. To get the coupon code, just click the link above and you’ll be redirected to their site with the coupon code at the top. This way, when you checkout, you have the coupon code right at the top of your screen. No trying to remember it, writing it down, or worse, copying and pasting it, as we all know what happens when you do that … something comes up which forces another copy and you have to go back and get the code again which is a royal pain.
Do yourself and your site a big favor, get a listing in Best of the Web right now…and make sure you get the lifetime listing…and with the savings, I would get every major site in your portfolio a listing. It will do your site a world of service.

Hey Jerry, do you know if they accept Adsense sites?
Jerry West says
They do, with the understanding the site looks good and is not a POS site.
Panda says
Bullshit!
