It was just announced that Google and Amazon have reached an agreement to allow Google to display Premium Sponsored Listings on Amazon.com.
Premium Sponsored listings are the two results in different colors at the top of the search results in Google, do not confuse them with Google AdWords which appear on the right part of the page. Sponsored listings require a minimum investment of $5,000.00 per month for at least three months.
It is not known at this time if Amazon will be displaying AdWords. However, just in case they do, the time is now to modify your account or create one.

Microsoft Getting Aggressive: With rumors of Yahoo! soon to dump Google, Microsoft now see the playing field as being leveled. They tripled their staff recently in their search department, and even though MSN has been a losing venture for Microsoft, they feel the time is now to go after Google – aggressively. They have begun work on their own internal Pay-Per-Click model to replace Overture. As the rumors were hot of Microsoft acquiring Yahoo! last summer, they could sizzle again in the next coming weeks as Microsoft’s direction will be watched closely by industry analysts.
