The biggest complaint about my Google Best Practices guide is that it doesn’t have enough information about how to get links. Well, that’s because getting links is an in-depth process and needed its own guide to full explain the correct process.
The guide is 88 pages, and just like my guide on Google, this one gets to the point and gives plenty of examples so you can take action today on your site and start seeing your rankings improve. Here are some of the concepts I cover:
- Linking Myths Exposed
- The Truth about Paid Links
- How to Track Your Competitor’s Links
- How to Use Link Baiting Effectively
- Which Tools to Use and Why
I routinely build sites with over 100,000 links and the methods I use are the same in this guide. Does it take work? Of course. But the payoff is incredible. These methods are tested and proven.
The guide is $97 and comes with free lifetime updates, just as my Google Best Practices Guide does. It also comes with a full money-back guarantee if you aren’t happy. Just like my Google guide, the information isn’t watered down, I don’t waste your time and the methods will require work from you, but they work and work very well.

I may be fairly new a blogging but I’ve worked hard at learning how to create a “hook” for titles, develop good keyword based content, and stay on topic, be relevant and offer useful information. Thanks for address these things. You’re comments are very helpful in this area.
Sean Brady says
Great post. It seems there is a debate in which types of links are the best to get. Not many people are explaining ‘where’ to get these links either, you’re right.
Zach Brown says
Does this include free future updates like the Google Best Practices guide?
Jerry West says
Yes it will.
Jon Poland says
Jerry:
You recently wrote about search engine algorithm changes and how things
like profile links, blog comments, forum links, etc . . . have less value
and links coming from content have more authority. Does the recent
search engine algo change have any impact on the strategies that you
outline in the Definitive Link Building Guide of 2010?
Jerry West says
The guide was published BEFORE the linking guide was released. However, like any change with Google, most are temporary. The strategies in the guide have worked for many years and I see no reason they won’t work years from now as well.
Jon Poland says
The Definitive Linking Guide comes with free updates, so if the new Google algorithm
changes do impact the strategies in the guide I’m assuming you will address that
in the updates. Is that correct?
Thanks, Jerry.
Jerry West says
That’s correct.

Hi, I want to purchase this book but the shopping cart function seems not working.
Rob says
I missed the sale :( but I’m wondering how much of a focus there is on 2.0 links? Most small-time IM’ers seem to advocate primarily building free blogs, commenting on others blogs, forum profile and signature links, and other small potatoes as their primary link source, having caved in to the idea that reciprocal links are dead. I know you are in a different class Jerry, so I’m wondering how much of your link building process is dedicated to web 2.0 style links, possibly in a percentage….thanks.
Jerry West says
Hey Rob,
I am one of the few that thinks Web 2.0 links are bullshit as based on my testing results they don’t give the push that the “experts” claim that they do.
MC says
Hi, how to purchase the book? the cart function still not work.
Jon says
HI Jerry,
I have a question, I purchased the “best practice” back in early part of this year. At the time I was employed by a different company. Can I get an update if I send you proof of purchase? (Paypal)
the email that you see is my paypal account
thanks,
Jon

What error are you receiving? Best thing to do is clear your cookies or use another browser. There could be a tech glitch somewhere. Technology is great until it doesn’t work …. ugh.
