Some people like having an order of things to do, from scratch, on a brand new site. Here it is:
Assuming you have found your market and know the money keywords, all found in the basic business section, do the following:
1. Get a new, reliable host (verify they have a working support phone number available 24/7). This is where you MUST do your due-diligence if you decide on a cheap host.
2. Get a .com. Install WordPress with Yoast’s SEO plugin. Delete all stock content, disable all archives, etc.
3. Write 10 pages of content following our content strategy and while keeping Panda in the back of your mind.
4. Buy contextual links from sites that rank using our grey hat strategy. This is all webmaster outreach work. Rotate the anchor text as we describe in the Penguin bucket theory section. How many links? You need to do the link analysis on your competitors. We think 10 is a good start.
5. Do a Panda CP (copy-paste) test on the articles after they are all indexed. Kill what doesn’t pass.
6. You should rank for low-mid competition keywords. If not, repeat step 4.
7. Get a Genesis child theme designed after you rank and have traffic.
8. Monetize, etc.
9. Do it again.
10. Do it again.
