Your mental framework is key to success in this business. Ignoring the mindset and focusing on technical details will get you nowhere in five years. Even if you are lucky and hit a jackpot money keyword online and that market goes away, you will not succeed again without the right mindset. The information in these books, when applied correctly will help you more than any magic SEO formula.
Outwitting the Devil – Napoleon Hill – This book was released in 2012 and was held onto Hill’s late widow due to she felt the nature of the “interview style” between her late husband and the devil would tarnish his reputation. The book was written during the end of the Great Depression and you should keep this in mind as the insights Hill has are tremendous. My advice is to ignore/skip the commentary the publisher makes (noted as bold and indented text). I found it to be very distracting and took away from the overall message Hill was trying to convey.
The Laws of Success in 16 Lessons – Napoleon Hill – This is the one that if you read and implement the advice Hill gives, especially on fear, you can double your revenue in the next 12 months. Written in 1918 a lot of the information is not going to be relevant, but the foundation is. This is not about just improving your business, this is about improving your personal life too. I still read this book cover to cover, both volumes, once a year.
Thick Face, Black Heart – Chin-Ning Chu – Not very well known, but an excellent source and similar to Art of War. Life is a battlefield and this book will open your eyes in how to not just survive but reach the top.
To Be or Not To Be Intimidated – Robert Ringer – Have you been taken advantage in business? Caught off guard by a partner who took more than they should? Run over by a client and agreed to things you wouldn’t have normally agreed to? Then this is your book.
